Slowed the game down, kept energy levels intact. We won the game 2-0 and could have had more. Professional win, good performance all round against a bunch of thugs. No point criticising the team because you didnt get a hollywood performance.

I'd agree with that. Although I personally thought Wes Brown was woeful. Bullied by Shelton and didn't look confident at all. Won't be upset if he goes in the Summer tbh. Be glad to see Gabby back at left back on Saturday.

wes was poor, though shelton looked good - or, rather, looked like a player desperate to nail down a place (perhaps somewhere else). wes and gabby certainly don't like players running at them with the ball at pace. it was the same against watford with that french guy bouillabaisse or whatever it was.

thumbs up for fletcher, though: better at rb than wes or even pie on the last couple of performances. in spite of a mid-season dip he's having an excellent season, i'd say.

Scholes was pants again last night. he needs to sort his form out if we are to win this league. nft.
