Blackett has made extraordinary progress in a couple of months. In the first couple of pre season games he looked pretty awful, that may have been nerves but really did not expect this level of play from him.

Carragher's voice makes me yearn for the days when only clipped RP accents were allowed on telly.

Evans was completely in no man's land for that £#%&!ing goal.

Why is Rafael not giving him a shout?

It's entertaining that's for sure.

Rafael has to do better but why is Evans just completely blameless. He is the centre half and he should be marking the scorer. Evans was moaning at De Gea earlier and i think again was hiding.

Looked good in parts. Di Maria is just a dream to watch, every time he gets the ball I'm excited.

Look dodgy at the back, to be expected with no leader and no settled defence.

Think we would benefit a lot more in this game from sacrificing one of the front 3 and pushing Herrera closer to Blind and bringing J@&%!aj on. Di Maria one side and J@&%!aj the other would run Leicester ragged.

I wonder if Rooney needs time to reacclimatise to having proper classy forwards around him?

That's the best part for me, I said it at the start of the season that it will never be boring this season once we click into gear. Today has so far been a good illustration of that.

Interesting how wide apart the front two have been at times. For Van Persie's goal, Falcao had pulled all the way onto the left wing, and Van Persie has also pulled out onto that flank at times. Seems to make space for Rooney, and in particular Di Maria, to drive into.

Di Maria has been our best attacking player again IMO. Everything speeds up whenever he gets it, and some of his crossing has been superb. The finish for his goal was absolutely superb.

Rooney has done okay, but I'd still much prefer Mata in that role.
