Default So, Inter Milan.

What they like then. Any good? What sort of game do they play? Typical Jose stuff is it, lumped up to a big forward for flick ons or is there more to it? I never really watch Serie a so i've no idea.

They seem better than in previous seasons...mind you they've been £#%&! in europe for years so hopefully that will continue. If Zlatan puts in his usual big game perfomance we'll be fine.

As much as I don't want to agree with the forum's most annoying @#%&! Zlatan is playing very well at the moment. Mancini is also doing okay for them I'm told but the real issue with them is just their ability to grind out results.

There is definitely that element, also Zanetti still working like a madman in midfield. Muntari has actually improved them IMO, and much to my surprise. Zlatan is playing well, no denying it, and Julio Cesar is one of the world's in form keepers at the moment. It'll be difficult.

He set up a goal against Milan didn't he with a flick on?

I saw the Milan derby last weekend and I honestly don't see much to worry about at the moment. They play very similar to Chelsea under Mourinho but the players imo are of an inferior quality than those he has at Stamford Bridge. I know Ibrahimovic has his admirers but he seems to me to be a flat track bully who will turn it on against lower level teams but I'm yet to see him do anything against the big boys. Not seen as much of him as others though so may be wrong. I would be devastated if they beat us though as on this viewing there is no doubt who is the better team. Italian football is nowhere near the standard it was 5-10 years ago

Zanetti? Jesus is he still there? What are they like defensively?

a power game

Evra will be tested big-time by Maicon and we'll seriously miss Vidic sweeping in behind; I expect Park to be on that side to lend a hand if Evra is to have any licence to get forward

unless we're on top, of course

they looked vulnerable to the ball slipped inside the full-back down the edge of the box in that derby match - which just happens to be one our favourite moves

Gave up a ton of chances to Milan, but Cesar kept most of them out. Breachable, in a word.

btw I'm basing all these observations on the Milan derby as you couldn't pay me to watch them otherwise.

I thought they were a better "footballing" side under Mancini - not sure if that makes them better or not, but it was far more preferable from a neutral perspective.

Only seen them in Europe and the Milan derby, so it's hard to judge. But they do seem fond of lumping it up to Zlatan/Adriano (or both), then having the likes of Maicon and Stankovic break forward. Have to say, I thought Zlatan and Stankovic linked and swapped roles quite well against Milan.

Didn't seem to have much width.

.
that's what i saw in some very brief highlights, seemed to have chance after chance AC.

this Maicon, what's the story? He must be good if we are worried that Evra will struggle?

Wasn't impressed by them in the milan derby. They were hanging on for dear life in the end and might have thrown 2 points away if Inzaghi could time a run properly.

he rampages down that side of the pitch and would knock Evra out with one arm tied behind is back

Vidic usually sweeps up if United lose the ball with Evra committed forward so it's a key battle between the coaches to see who can control that side

the right flank could well be key and i'm leaning towards Rafael at full-back right now

on the other hand, Ferguson is deliberately mixing it up to keep everyone guessing; O'Shea could come in for Evra for fear of the long diagonals to Ross Jenkins nodding down for runners; Giggs was on the right at West Ham which is another option and so on
