Like it's been said (repeatedly) we are judging Brown on his entire career, many top class performances and a rather impressive medal collection hampered only by bad luck on serious injuries.

Don't admit to getting something wrong a third time on a thread - the mods have a 3 strikes and you're out rule. HTH.

Medal collection means nothing when judging a player.

Possibly. However I don't see how medals determine how good a player is. I thought they determined how good a team was.

I hope the media remember their outspoken support of the 'respect the ref' campaign if England should get knocked out of the world cup by a bad refereeing mistake.

I'd hate them to come across as hypocrites.
