Question Fergie...

...Anyone else think he seems more '#@&%!ly' than normal at the start of this season??
Something seems to be really bothering him.
I don't just put it down to the loss on Wednesday, it's something I've noticed for the last few weeks.
I watched the 'Managers Press Conference' thing on MUTV yesterday & he seemed really down.
When he was talking about Michael Owen & Berbatov, it was as if he was trying to convince himself rather than the gathered Hacks.

Is it losing Ronaldo?
Is it missing out on 'first choice' transfer targets?
Is it all the defensive injuries?
Is it not having a settled & reliable midfield?
Was he not backed (financially) over the Summer?
Is he still gutted about Rome?

..Probably all of the above to be honest.

Maybe it's just me ...

..Nothing a good win wouldn't put right today mind you.

I'd heard he read the Owen and Park threads from yesterday and wanted to top himself.

Seemed no different than any other start to the season.

Oh, don't forget he's a pensioner. Grumpy old £#%&!ers the lot of em.

If that was the case he'd be like that every week.
I think there's something different about him at the minute....something troubling him about the squad.

Like I said, maybe it's just me.

Imagine one day if you had the car of your dreams that was £#%&!ing awesome... Then one night it got sold and you ended up with an old ford escort.

He knows he's lost the support of the fans. I can't blame him for being angry, he spent 20 years building up our trust and in two games (Rome and Burnley) he has managed to destroy all of that work, and turn the fans against him. Funny old game and all that.

The £#%&!ing things folk infer from a press conference. A press conference he has done match in match out for years. Probably sick to death of it and completely bored with having to answer stupid questions by the likes of SSN's James Cooper et al. I'm surprised he's not snuck an automatic weapon into one of them and done us all a favour.

He is probably pissed off with the Summer activity, as mentioend elsewhere pick up Red News and read the editorial. Along with a few other features pretty much paints the picture that most have also alluded to. Players didn't want to come and prices were too high for the targets identified. I don't buy the VFM argument mind, some footballers get paid 100k a week for booting a bit of leather about. VFM? The concept hasn't existed in £#%&!ing years.

No he isn't....yes, he's normally short with the journalists he doesn't like & he'll bat away stupid questions with his legendary 'bad temper' ..but I think he seems a bit 'flat'

I just wondered if anyone else had thought the same that's all.
I ran it up the flag pole, but nobody else wants to salute it.
That's fine

I thought he was in quite good form for Fergie in a press conference tbh.

He's brought that on himself by lying in interviews. How many times has he said he won't sign anyone and then signed a big name player? He's denied players will be leaving and then sold them and the classic "I wouldn't sell them a virus" when we'd already agreed to sell them the best player in the world. If I were a journalist I'd ask him every time I saw him too.

Personally I think it's the Ronaldo sale that's got to him. 2 EC Finals on the bounce and the best player in the world leaves us for what he sees as a step up. It's got to hurt.

I've got some theories on this Ramone, but you won't want to hear one of them!

suffice to say I agree with you that he seems a bit disillusioned with some of his players. he's bound to be £#%&!ed off with the defensive injuries we've had for the last 2 and half years as well tbh.

I don't blame the journalists for asking the questions, but they are dumb £#%&!s.

I doubt there is a single person they speak to that tells them the truth tbh, the don't £#%&!ing deserve it and wouldn't report it if they did.
