Not sure Milan are out of it, Barca aren't shutting up shop. If they get through with even 5mins remaining the nerves can effect anyone.

Where's Pato... ?

I'd take him if it meant we had a new central midfielder for next season...

Well at 36 he'd at least bring the average age down.

I do love a good conspiracy theory.

Milan have actually had some success in pressing Barca high up the pitch, forced them into more mistakes that we usually see. Barca have still had most of the ball but it has never been dominant.

The difference in touch, spacial awareness & weight of pass is chalk & cheese.

Barca aren't exactly exciting, but that's their shtick. Just control it & press for the 30% of a game when they don't have the ball. The maths are sound, but not as sound as their basic technique from 1 to 11.

It's always a little more interesting when you're unsure of who will win.

Is Pep that good or has this style of play just happened for him?

milan dont look like they can trouble barcelona at all.

Am I alone in finding barcelona's style of play boring? the way they find space, the movement, the passing all technically brilliant but it's more interesting than exciting.

they don't seem to tire either

Yeah. We need somebody to challenge Rafael for the central midfield.

Messi's desire is incredible; scored 60 goals and still wants more.

He's taken on the philosophies of Cruyff, 4-3-3, pressing, rotation & possession & so forth taken it to the next level with better man management, more attention to detail & the understanding of Barca's heritage with home grown players. He's made mistakes, they all do, & it helps having some of the finest players of a generation, but he's knitted it together magnificently.
