The scousers won't win the title. 278 years since their last one that's still a big, big positive.

I'd swap Berbatov's influence on the team for Saha's in a heartbeat.

Next league game after a Euro away is also difficult.

Note: Lyon got thrashed 4-1 at lowly Nice this weekend.

That is true and a trip to Moscow is no joke either.

Even more a case for the likes of Rio and Vidic not travelling over there.

It gives the wallpushers the belief that their season is on track again, when it clearly isn't and won't be.

yesterday's result is the biggest kick up the jacksy that United need.

I said at the beginning of the week, I'd send the kids and fringe players only, put a young team out and see what happens. £#%&!ing waste of time and energy the travelling and that game, meaningless in a shit group. £#%&!ed me off when I saw the team on Wednesday tbh.

Moscow are on a par with Barnsley, should've put out a similar team.

Whats that got to do with anything?
We had enough in the squad to leave key players behind.
We didnt need to win, a draw would have been ok, a win was a bonus.

Why put Rio on an 8 hour round trip and play him on a plastic pitch, given recent injuries and niggles? His back flared up after a flight to a game before.

Why play Scholes in Moscow if playing him at anfield?

yeah but it's all berbatovs fault really

nowt to do with the weak midfield who couldn't put their foot on the ball all game, one dimensional wing play, a poor performance from a man who should have been more fired up than anyone (rooney), defensive errors in abundance and er, john o shea.

carrick and scholes have been the least impressive out of the midfield 4 for me this season. we look poor without fletch, but without anderson as well... no bite whatsoever. poor team, poor showing, poor effort.

ah well.
