He was the only player who threatened in the first half. Granted it only resulted in one decent ball into the box and a pretty tame header from Wayne.

I noticed one good thing he did, kept doing in fact, was helping out at the back.

Going forward, I couldn't help but imagine that other fella who used to be out on the wing. Tall bloke, gay I think.

I thought everytime we hoofed it upto him, they had two guys on him, pisser really coz I thought he wasnt too bad!

yep, which meant we were begging for somebody to come through from midfield to take advantage. overload the outside (parker going past andrei, neville going past beckham) and have a man coming through (robson, keane, ince, scholes...). goals goals £#%&!ing goals

or

have a static full back (o'shea) waiting behind the winger and two central midfielders lined up level and static forty yards from goal
