Indeed.

When he got the goal at Bolton, I had the strongest feeling he'd be a United legend for years.Sadly, it hasn't turned out that way.£#%&!ing shame really.

It's certainly by far the strongest in the Premiership, which is an incredible contrast to a couple of years ago.

Definitely between us and Barca. We've got better goalkeepers, and I reckon we've got slightly better defensive options, too. They're stronger in midfield and their front four is hard to match, but I think we've got a greater range and depth of attacking options, now.

Uniteds 'weak' links from last season, and their replacements:

Fletcher --> Hargreaves

Richardson --> Nani

Smith --> Tevez

...O'Shea? --> Anderson

Serenity...yes they are shite, their pathetic defence cost them the league

Abidal is the worst left back to play for France for years...Spanish football doesn't suit Zambrotta, as for Puyol

midfield and attack Barca are very strong, maybe as strong as us...defensively they are Citeh in disguise or maybe you didn't see the game against the Dippers at home

They had the best defensive record in La Liga last season. But if you want to judge their defence off one game in the champions league, go ahead.

No, what cost them the league was a complacent attitude that stopped them working as a team. They won the league and European Cup double the year before with a weaker one.

Defence isn't something that the back four does on its own, it's something that the whole team must do together both with and without the ball.

Barca should be much stronger next season, and unless Rijkaard has lost the dressing room completely, they should be hungry again.

I'm not judging it off one game....the goals they lost in the title run-in were shocking, the boys at the other end of the pitch did their work, their defence was £#%&!

and their defence also cost them in Europe...Serenity it was individual defensive mistakes and downright shocking defending that cost them the league...Espanyol and Betis at home summed up their season

anyway £#%&! barcelona....and £#%&! Madrid

Oh and the small matter of losing Eto'o and Messi for half the season.

Abidal is not shit. He may not be worth 20m Euros but he'll do a decent job and allow them to put Zambrotta at right-back permanently, which in turn will reduce the need for Oleguer to set foot in the Nou Camp ever again. Maquez was horrible last season, so getting someone like Milito, Chivu or Andrade will be a big improvement, not to mention the adddition of Yaya Toure in the holding role.
