Default Even with Tevez we'll still need a poacher...

...dare I say it, "in the Owen mould".

Tevez and Rooney will be like having Cantona and Cantona; fantastic but not nearly as effective as having them sat behind an Andy Cole type.

I'm not saying we'll struggle for goals (we won't) but I do think we'll have more joy against sides that will inevitably pack their defences if we have an Owen in the side.

ronaldo, tevez and rooney will be a three pronged attack.

interchanging etc.

remember in 04/05 when ruud was out and we went on a winning streak with rooney playing uptop with giggs and ronaldo either side.

Rossi and Saha are good enough to do that.

No OWEN!

Polluting a forward line of Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani and Anderson with a boring little £#%&! like Owen would be criminal.

The thrust of what i'm saying has been lost a little with the Owen fixation.

Let's say we need a Papin or Muller type player for those difficult 'flat back 10' away games.

I know we've gone a bit transfer mad, but if this Tevez deal goes through, I suspect the only further transfer activity will be out-goings.

What a £#%&!ing sale it'll be, too.

Should get at least 20mil back.

6 for Smith

4 Richardson

7-8 Heinze

Then there's Fletch, O'Shea etc.

We have arguably the second strongest strikeforce in Europe. We were top scorers in the league last season and on paper we're much stronger this season.

We don't need anyone else.

Aren't Heinze and Tevez best mates? Maybe we'll keep him as a friend for both Tevez and Ronnie. Sell Silvestre instead.

If he's fit, concentrating and aggressive he's more than worth keeping.

Unfortunately, this only happens on the 3rd saturday in september.
