Although I would like to Diouf start alongside Rooney, I think it is important to give a consistent front 6 a run. Maybe we could start Diouf and play Rooney from the left, where he is more effective/dangerous.

time was when a player who scored for the the first team then got a hattrick for the reserves would be the first name on the team sheet. i'd love to see diouf picked to start and a clear statement from fergie that players will be picked on form.

there's a few playing on reputation atm and he could do worse than stick anderson and carrick in the stiffs, not the bench, play fletcher and scholes and let them know what he expects every time they put on the shirt.

yeah good point about sticking players in the stiffs.

but then it was the likes of Ferguson who got the 7 man bench brought in.

Diouf was hauled off after an hour last night as a precaution so presumably he's in the frame for tomorrow.
