Just been beaten at home by Villarreal thanks to a last minute goal.

Ronaldo is no longer good enough to justify standing in the box waiting for the ball. His attitude towards his teammates is appalling and when you’re not putting your name on the scoresheet every week that ends up with more resentment I suspect.

Four league goals from 14 starts for the great man

That is often what they do when they have a bad league season tbf. It's quite annoying. Why do we never win the CL when shit?

Meanwhile Messi is on 16 from 18 and a bagful of assists thrown in too.

Aside from being a couple of years younger, Messi also has that ability to drop deep and thread passes. Can see him playing on a long time in various roles. Will probably bin off Argentina after the World Cup and focus on Barca.

Don’t like Zidane, never have. Always struck me as a @#%&!.

He’s won two European Cups and a Spanish title because he was given a superb squad and the best player in the world.

Whenever he’s actually been required to use a bit of tactical nous he’s repeatedly failed to do so.

What's interesting is that he's actually quite pragmatic rather than the free flowing flair you'd expect from his teams. Could just be the results pressure of Madrid. Or I suppose even when he looks at Isco, Modric etc he's just seeing shitter versions of himself and doesn't trust them.
