That may Be true if Fergie was here. 442/451 no matter the personnel.

We are building towards a modern style of play more suited to the specialist technical players that now exist (especially outside of the UK). If that is instilled in the club from youth up we will likely never see another season like last season and a new manager having to cull a shit load of shit @#%&!s.

We will win the league this season or next.

delighted a new continental influence is being tried by United

not sure there was a cull of 'shit@#%&!s' though - evra, ferdinand and vidic left, giggs retired, kagawa is a superb little player, welbeck is hardly shit and nani may well be back. so basically LVG got rid of the reserve LB, Bebe who was already set to leave, and Macheda. No cull took place.

I was agreeing with the point that in his latter years Fergie would opt to play an experienced player out of position rather than look to the youth options.

Wasn't criticising his record against Arsenal ffs

Maybe a little harsh on most.

I like the way it sounds though.

Throb is a proper berk, isn't he.

Love the fact he always points out how long he's had me on ignore yet still seems to read virtually everything I post.

By the time Rio/Terry were Smalling/Jones age they had played double the amount of games. In their natural position.

If you want to develop top defenders. You have to play them instantly and let them learn on the job. Madrid/Barca did the same with Ramos/Puyol.

Can we also acknowledge that Blackett and McNair sounds like a really noddy ITV cop drama.

Sell all the injured defenders immediately. Yes that's right - black market style, don't wait for January.

Keep Rojo for now though.

Play Blackett and McNair (ahead of Smalling) just to see what happens.

As mentioned, they need to have played twice as much first team football as they have to be realistically pushing to stake a claim. The first 30mins of the game on Saturday with any team capable of slotting in a piss easy chance on the stroll from 10 yards would have resulted in a completely different outcome.

We're due the luck, but you should realistically make your own first rather than relying on it.

tbf they had virtually no protection from our midfield and arsenal were breezing towards our goal every time they picked the ball up.
