Default Team news - Tevez on the bench, Kuzack starts, Vidic rested etc.

Wow.

Tevez is off isn't he? Why on earth would he not start tonight when we have Berbatov out injured already and Ronaldo doubtful after getting the treatment at Villa Park?

Kuzack

O'Shea
Evans
Rio
Evra

Carrick
Fletcher
Anderson

Ronaldo
Rooney
Nani

We won't be winning tonight.

Then again, i'm not sure we'd win with a full team out.

Tevez has been shite lately tbh, so I can understand him being on the bench. That said this is not really a must-win game so I can't really see why Fergie hasn't taken the chance to let him play himself into some form.

I think that's a crackin team anyway, at least attacking-wise. I think we'll steamroller them.

midfield 3 look decent enough.

I'm sure most of us just want them to get through tonight with no injuries.

first 4-3-3 of the season, first challenging euro away of the season (celtic was basically a domestic game). interesting.

Think we should wait until we see how we line up

I'd wager it's an attacking 4-5-1 we're going to see

fair enough but tbh i think 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 are just different sides of the same coin. questions of intent more than anything else.

4-2-3-1 ?

same as really

more attacking intent & players in their right position in that line up than in a few of our games, I find that helps.

I don't understand this 'Tevez has been shit' mantra. He's unfit. Massively. He needs games just like Berbatov needed games a month or two ago. He doesn't need bringing off 20 minutes from time every time he does get a game.

Tevez is top draw. Bad news if he goes.

Yep and yep. It's definitely about intent and how the match flows etc but I believe in the main we'll set out 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 when its on rather than the other way around.

A very flexible 4-5-1 but thats our foundation and line up for the majority of the 90minutes.
