For the 327th time, Berbatov is carrying a long term, niggling injury. His detractors - both on forums like this one and in the media - have airbrushed this out almost totally (a Berbie bashing piece in today's Times never mentioned it, for instance)

What's Owen's excuse?? Apart from being shit, of course

He would also cost us £10million+ to be our 3rd choice striker.

He'd very quickly over take berbatov and a cash plus owen Offer would tempt spurs, if only he would leave London.

We got to final stage discussions years ago, but its a huge stumbling block for him to leave vibrantville

Football Re: Michael Owen

Not a bad return so far from him in my opinion.
Group clinching Champions League hat-trick, Last gasp derby winner & a Cup Final goal.

Certainly done as well as could have been expected.

I think he seems like a decent Lad too, not sure why he's so unpopular on here tbh.

It's not ideal I'll grant you, but it's not as if he's some gobby, flash, controversial @#%&!.
I like the way he keeps a low profile, seems popular with the other Lads & like I said, he's managed a few decent goals in the last 6months.

He shouldn't have been given the number 7 shirt I agree with that.
