You say Youngers and Oxo-Chickensoup as best players but have England going out in the group.

italy are always shite in friendlies, i'd pay absolutely no attention to that. wouldn't be surprised if half the team made a few quid off the russia game.

they qualified very impressively, expectations are low, the scandal rumbling on at home might actually motivate them and they'll play either the winners or runners-up from england's group in the quarters, which is a decent draw.

and they're italy ffs, up there with germany as virtually guaranteed performers in big tournaments.

and marchisio is a quality player, he'll light up old trafford next season.

Yeah, Italy looking shite doesn't ever tend to stop them getting to finals, tbf.

Marchisio is a nice shout, too. Good player.

Yes, he's in the 'young players to look out for' article on the beeb website even though he's 26.

Nice to see they haven't gone for the most painfully obvious choices there

M'Vila is certainly getting a lot of hype. Will be interesting to see how good he really is.

he's very talented but his form was poor after the new year. like a lot of young players he's hyped up in advance of a transfer as though he's already a top player rather than a youngster with a lot of potential.

Yep, but he's very much a central part of this France side. Should play all the minutes, so we'll get a good idea of how far along he is. Might be worth 'a look' if he's yet to move before the tournament ends
