I’m not sure when having the best players competing for a finite number of spots was replaced by ‘won’t signing X hinder Y’ tbh. When we won the treble we had four strikers who would have walked into any other team in the league and been top scorer for most.

Not really that arsed to be honest.

We need a striker, RW, CM and CB.. we’ll sign a marquee player in one of those positions to paper over the fact that the rest of the positions will be either neglected or a makeshift signing will be brought in.

Got a feeling also that Sancho will be the only “big” signing and even then only because he is cheaper than last year.

Should look to move on Martial, Linguard, Dalot, De Gea and Mata from the squad. Should generate enough to pay for Sancho and some 12 year old future prospect at £39m we can send out on loan

Wasn’t there talk of Dalot coming back? I think we need an alternative back up to Williams. That boy need a loan.
