Default Thomas Vermaelen has no idea where he will be playing next season

http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/arse...t-9589079.html

Done deal imo.

All those hoping for Hummels are going to be very disappointed.

Evening Standard don't normally post transfer bullshit, either.

Not what's been posted elsewhere. Player has agreed terms etc, but no agreement with clubs and nowhere near with valuation.

Hummels still a possibility according to Mitten (can't see it myself)

Honestly can't see Dortmund standing in his way if we were to wade in with £35m and £200k a week.

a) Arsenal are always "nowhere near" with valuations when it comes to negotiations. They always crumble. He has a year left on his contract, doesn't get in the team and wants to join. Ludicrous to reject any offer over £10m. Only downside to them is they have lost ANOTHER club captain.

b) Andy Mitten is a no-nothing @#%&! who has drunk one too many Sangrias.

Why would it have to be one or the other?

We lost 2 experienced centre back last season.

So it's not a done deal then is it?

I do think he'll sign as it suits both clubs, but wouldn't spend £10m+ they want.

Only in the market for one if you are to believe what seems to be common knowledge.

2 x midfielders, 1 x centre back and maybe a winger.

Of course it is. It's just Arsenal posturing as per usual.

He has agreed terms ffs.

Speaking to someone this morning and they reckon that it's all gone a bit cold.

Club have spoken to the player and he was interested but j̶u̶v̶e̶ Arsenal are playing hard ball.

He thinks it'll happen but it's far from done.

Well you have spoken to me on here this morning and I think it's a done deal so that trumps what your mate Dave said.

And a 'Significant' Wage bill increase.

I think the only one who said £200m was the Daily Star.

Even Woodie was briefing £100m.

As jem says the only we'll deffo get is Vermaelen, but I reckon we have an outside shot at Vidal.
