I remember as a youngster my wish list was to be Bryan robson and to win sports personality of the year by the time I'm twenty.

"achieve greatness"
Yet Sterling actually got closer to winning the league than any of these 'great' players.

I never understood how mcmananammananm ended up at Madrid, and actually winning stuff there. Champions league ffs was he really that good, as I recall him being distinctly average with the occasional decent performance

I'm struggling to see Owens point. At 20 they'd all done nothing

I was staggered Madrid signed him. Thought he was average as £#%&! tbh.

As you can imagine, a lot of scousers thought he was better than Giggs

For a couple of seasons he did the hard work to let the proper stars play. Nothing special as I recall.

They talk about their youth system but the only quality players to come through it are retired at 30. They've not had a decent one in years. Kelly is probably the standout

contract talks for average-good players at average-good sides making the headlines all week?

you can tell it's an international break.

he's a good player. possibly very good who might become excellent. doesn't strike me as special though.

£#%&! him, £#%&! Liverpool and £#%&! all this hype.

Hope arsenal kill them this weekend*

*actually, I hope it's a draw because I want us to be second on Saturday night

They were all raving over that freaky looking full back that broke through last year and has been missing all season.

Arsenal to bury them would be preferable, put them out of sight

I'm thinking this too.

Stoke getting a draw at Chelsea would be nice. A win for us, 6 points off the top with 7 to play

Draw for me too and us in 2nd.

Don't want arsenal to get too #@&%!y + the scouse still have to go to stamford bridge and the britannia. Basically any dropped pts buries the scouse tomorrow.
