Apparently, the Scousers made enquiries before he renewed his contract with Porto recently. Wouldn't want to see him go there at the end of the season.

In simple terms, the role of the OOD is to compile secret service-style dossiers on Chelsea's rivals. "It takes me four days to put an entire file together," Villas says, "so it is very comprehensive. The reports are given to all the players as well as the manager. The idea is that when the players go out on the pitch, they are totally prepared, so there can be very few surprises during the game."
The Portuguese press managed to get hold of one of his scouting reports he did on Newcastle during Mourinho's first season there. Interestingly, when it came to weaknesses, aside from the obvious ones such as Boumsong and Babayaro, he identified Given as a player to exploit.

He's always been a player to exploit. I don't think i've ever seen a keeper with a reputation as big as his, who is completely useless at commanding his area.

The two goals that Fletcher scored in the derby last season were a great example. Rooted to his line like a £#%&!ing plantpot.

Nice one. Coincidence that this pops up so soon after that post because it's been around, albeit in Portuguese, for years. Seems a lot of people are taking an interest in Villas Boas at the moment. I really hope he doesn't go to the scousers in the summer.

A man armed with a dagger is reported to have tried to stab Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho as he signed autographs in a Spanish airport.

A member of the club's security staff was said to have received a 4cm (1.5in) stab wound in the incident at La Coruna in Galicia, northern Spain.

The incident happened last Friday but has only just been reported by the Cadena Ser news channel.

It is not clear if Mr Mourinho was aware of the attack at the time.

Cadena Ser says the security staff member did not realise he had been stabbed until he was on the team bus.

However, security cameras at the airport may have captured the incident, it says.

Quoting a source at Real Madrid, Cadena Ser says the club has increased security for its game against Racing Santander this weekend
