This. I don’t think it changes anything long-term, but he’s playing better than he was and he’s taking his chance. All you can ask for someone in his position. He’s a bit of a smug @#%&!, but he’s been a good pro about this. Same with The Scottish Player. Sancho could learn a thing or two, the little £#%&!ing shitparcel.

absolute tripe. He has had a couple of decent games against weak opposition. He’s been alright il give him that, but he still needs to be binned and replaced .

Defender ETH wanted….let’s just gloss over the stupid typical error he made early one which nearly led to a goal.

Played his way into being first choice again. Fair play to him.

Let's not go overboard eh, though his helping us out in this time of need is definitely a plus point for him.

Absolutely nowhere near first choice. He’s doing okay when called upon, but he’s a very limited player and stifles our ability to play from the back

Starting to like him. Talking to the camera. Probably saw his own reflection.

Very good today.

Defended well, played the ball forward a few times and lovely switch of play which created a few opportunities.

Unlucky on the VAR call, any other team and it’s not even looked at.

Agenda reds won’t be happy with his performance.

Yep. Good again. As he largely has been in recent weeks.

He’s stepped up in recent weeks. Bided his time, kept his head down and taken his chance when he’s got it.

That’s the way to do it. You can moan about Ten Hag having favourites, but few have been less of a favourite of his than Maguire. He’s done the only thing a player should do: keep your head down, work hard and take your chance when you get it.

Him and The Scottish Player should have been gone in the summer and here we are in a difficult week and they’re in on merit and trusted over others. That reflects well on their professionalism.

Sancho should take note. If he’d done the same, he’d be getting a chance now that Antony is struggling.

He clearly is. He's started the last 4 or 5 or however many games it is. Therefore he's first choice. It's a fact not a label
