English employment law over rules the Bosman law, which means players in England can only speak to other English clubs 6 weeks before their contract runs out, as opposed to 6 months for players outside of England in the same position.

I was talking about the game played on the antidote to panel shows "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue". The game in particular has each contestant making up rules that don't exist but sounding very knowledgable about them so the casual listener would think that it is a very complex game where as they are in fact making it up as they go along.

By my post of mornington crescent I was light heartedly saying that I had never heard of the the rule you mentioned whilst at the same time cheekily stating you might be making it up as you go along. In truth I don't if you are or not although it seemed like a funny thing to do at the time. Explaining it does take some of the magic out of it though.
