Football Players entering the last 6 months of their contract

Reading about one time Fergie target Mexes being out of contract in the summer.

Bit at the end...

Notable names entering the final six months of deals include Andrea Barzagli, Mario Santana, Vicente, Johan Elmander, Paolo Cannavaro, Marco Di Vaio, David Suazo, Alessandro Del Piero, Simone Perrotta, Nicola Legrottaglie, Dario Srna, Igor Akinfeev, Steven Pienaar, Miroslav Klose, Mark Van Bommel, Branislav Ivanovic, Urby Emanuelson and Peter Trochowski.

Whoa. Branislav Ivanovic? I'd take him on a free in the summer to cover centre back & right back, surely?

Also say's there that Akinfeev is a free in the summer Srna is a pretty £#%&!ing good right back / right sided midfielder as well if I'm not mistaken.

Trochowski has 35 caps for Germany & is only 26.

Some decent value in there.

Borsurs, no mention of agent fees, exorbitant wage demands & such, just who you'd take out of them. ta x

Rakitic will be a good signing for someone on a free.

Most of the players listed are in the their 30s and will probably sign new deals.

Mexes looked really good early on in his career.

Then I saw him when United played Roma and he was basically the white, French Titus Bramble.

Srna would be a good option for the wing.

Remember Fergie giving him a signed shirt & Christmas cards when he was 16 at Auxerre or something ?

Him and his defensive partner at Auxerre were both highly rated. Jean Alain Boumsong...

Akinfeev's contract expires in 2013. He signed an extension last season. Wouldn't be surprised if half of them are wrong.

Probably from Football Manager or something

Still, must be plenty of players out there that are running their contracts down these days.
