Default Amazon to bid for PL rights

Read about it earlier this week, Woodward however confirmed it the other day.

“Absolutely, they will enter the mix; anecdotally, there was incredibly strong interest in the last cycle. We are hearing that around the Premier League table and we are also hearing that from a European perspective in terms of interest in the Champions League and Europa rights. I do think we are going to see an increasing engagement from them and we would welcome the interest.”

Too much to hope that it'll all be available for the cost of a years sub to Amazon Prime if they get it? They certainly have enough money to blow anybody out of the water when it comes to the bidding rounds.

Would love to see Sky lose everything

They are 100% going all in for Premier League rights on the next round, we've heard it directly from the horses mouth through work.

They can afford to pay an amount that no broadcasting company could hope to profit from paying. Just when you think it's in bubbule territory.

The Glazers are in dreamland. They won't be selling for a while yet.

With Amazon in the mix some are forecasting Sky would have to pay anything up to £1.8b extra to retain its rights.

Recently read that they are well on the way to becoming the worlds first trillion dollar company

So the next rights holder can take the piss?

Exclusive games packages on one or spread across numerous platforms are bad for consumers. Same games packages on numerous platforms = good for consumers.
