It's set us back years missing out on Mourinho and considering he was pretty much begging to come it makes it all the more ridiculous how the succession played out.

Has Charlton actually admitted he didn't want him?

Never been a big Mourinho guy but his show at Anfield last season was like watching God perform the miracle you were praying for. He prevented one of the ugliest things in the modern history of the Premier League from happening.

I don't care that much about the personality stuff, I just thought his football is a bit grinding and cynical sometimes. And of course it is, but, well, right now so's ours and only then on a good day. No real excuses left I'm afraid, unless you feel really strongly about the behaviour stuff. It was a mistake.

But that chance is gone and no mistake is permanent. No point dwelling on it obsessively like some on here are so fond of.

Yeah, wouldn't see Andy dwelling on it.

Are we Liverpool now then? Our previous manager of 26 years didn't give a £#%&! what anyone thought about him.

What a myth.

His teams win in style. See Chelsea 05/06. Real Madrid 11/12.

Grace and integrity mean nothing in professional sport. Like grit and determination. Vauge concepts that we all should abide by.

Two words you wouldn't associate with the manager who turned us from sleeping giants into a footballing superpower.

We went for grace/integrity and ended up with Moyes.
