Again, Martial might go on to be a world class striker, or he might be playing at Nantes in a couple of seasons. No one knows, but to suggest he's definitely going to be world class - which seems to be what people are inferring here - based on his 3 years here - is odd.

Worth point out that Martial has obviously made the decision to leave, not United. He believes he deserves more game time presumably, the manager doesn't. I'd have loved him to work out here as on the odd occasion he plays well he's great to watch, but my opinion is he's not shown enough - talent or attitude - to cry over it. But then, tbh, there's very few players in our squad I would.



Also interesting to me that some folk would be 'not arsed' about the worlds greatest GK leaving, but are distraught over Martial. Strange.

At least he's not at the world cup so hopefully this shit gets sorted out, he gets assurances, big hugs all round and he nails down a first team place next season while scoring 25 goals from the left on the way to the title 4th place

Personally I haven’t said he is going to be world class. He’s a world class talent who has been sabotaged by a manager with form for doing so.

Had his number 9 shirt taken away from him. Lost his place in the team. Hit a bit of form. Taken out of the team. Not going to the World Cup due to this.

Two years left on his contract so I can’t see us being bullied into letting him go tbh. But then Mourinho has said on more than one occasion if a player wants to leave he won’t stand in their way.

It could be that the club leaked the Mbappe story after contract talks stalled and now his agent is countering that with his comments?
