They had by far the best squad in the league at that point, with both Utd and Arsenal in a transitional phase. Even with that advantage they were more efficient that free flowing, and often times preferred to kill a game when in a lead than push on and score more.

Entertaining the fans is not on his list of priorities. It might happen simply because of the level of talent he is working with or a game situation.

United had two years of van gaal preparing the ground and were still light years away from guardiola type football. No I get it. He's doing it the cutting corners way, getting the ground out results to keep the club in the money league. Not really that bad a thing, least we know it's not forever, but it is shit to watch.
