He’s pissed all over Moyes and LVG whilst sorting out the mess cause by both whilst winning trophies. Took drawing one and losing one after a great start to the season for some of you snakes to turn. You deserve more Moyes yakhunts.

Good point.

Honestly don't know what Pop's problem is.

Mou drumming up support for an out of form player

It’s pretty obvious what he’s doing but it looks like we have a forum full of simpletons

Simpletons everywhere

good job he took the penalty from him and shone attention on him all week.

If he didn't say anything there would be less pressure on lukaku.

I think it's only a matter of time before we get Pochettino. He will be our next manager whether it's next summer of the one after.

He's the one we should be aiming for next. It's obvious Mou is trying to manoeuvre a way out.

Mourinho is and has always been a pragmatist - and it's probably what you need to be a successful manager over a long term. Mistakes cost you dearly.

He picks reliable dependable players who can deliver his game plan.

As Jem says shouldn't be any surprise.

Would you rather lose 4-3 in a feast of football or win 1-0?

2nd in the league
Quarters of the league cup
Top of CL group with maximum points and zero conceded

When's he leaving?

would you rather a false 9 or a false dichotomy?

There's some truth in there...

The games they lost were the stuff of myth. A 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at St James' Park; a 2-1 loss at Blackburn, where a 21-year-old substitute from Whitley Bay called Graham Fenton scored both goals. Above all, the 4-3 defeat at Anfield, arguably the greatest game the league has staged.

sure, but the idea is to get some balance. it is possible to be well-organised and effective, whilst being entertaining. or, in the case of fergie's barca champs league finals, recognising that we needed to take some risks with selection, because players like nani or berba are frustrating, but capable of beating anyone, whereas park is consistently mediocre and simply ensures a "credible" defeat.

better to pick a proper midfield than to play six across the back and invite pressure, for example, if you are jose. because then, if you concede, you have failed in every sense - no clean sheet, no entertainment, no common sense. we've all been watching united long enough to know that the best form of defence is attack. we don't do rearguard actions. and I don't mean being cavalier. just sensible and not handing initiative to the other team. if we had better defenders and a solid midfield, it would never be necessary to load the defence with lukewarm bodies.

if you want to play death is not an option, the question should be whether you would prefer two stirring wins and a glorious defeat or three gutless insipid draws. for united, how you win is important as winning - both essential to "success".

If you end up having to play two defensive midfielders (unless it's something exceptional) the defenders aren't good enough. We don't have a centre half who can play passes more then 15 yards and mostly sideways.

Neither do we have full backs or wing backs who can cross though Young could probably do it on the right to some degree. Shaw is log jamming the left back slot - Borthers would do a better job .

So Mourinho is, it seems, always compromising too many square pegs and round holes. Don't get Herrera - where does he play? I can see how you might pick him to do a man marking job as Pip once did but he can't really open up defences.

3-5 -2 covers up the inadequacies but at the same time handicaps you as the essential cogs aren't there - attacking wing backs and a ball playing centre half.

+ a proper No 10 so he's basically short of 4 first team players and in all four it's the ability to construct attacking play that's missing.
