Norwich playing very deep with practically their whole team behind the ball so not been easy however doesn't help when the passing is poor especially on the final ball, looking a bit clueless at times and really missing Young on the left.

Pretty sure if we keep knocking at the door we'll break em down and probably score a few.

Anderson and Fletcher is an awful partnership. I have said it before about Anderson but he is at his best when he can cycle the ball quickly, one two touches, use his partner as a wall, and set a tempo through continually moving the point of the attack. It needs his partner to want the ball, to continually show for it, actively seek the space to continue movements.

Fletcher is not that player and it leads to a very low tempo, which is exacerbated by Park out wide and a striker like Hernandez who is pretty anonymous in build up play.

This causes Anderson to go for low percentage passes to break out of the pattern of passive play.

Utd are very predictable and slow in what they are doing today. You could make a case for Carrick, Welbeck, Giggs and Berbatov to be used. At least Utd have that quality on the bench.

Defence looks to have a mistake in them.

Hardly, just flat.

Anderson's passing has been a little wayward and inpatient (and I don't think he and Fletcher are a good match). Park and Evra seeing plenty of the ball, but neither on good enough form to do much with it. Credit to Norwich: Organised, disciplined, composed, confident. Signs we were getting it together towards the end there. We need to up the tempo, quicken up the passing and get the ball wider a little quicker. Patience needed, Norwich will struggle to keep that up in this heat.

You still hate Nani?

And Clev is a huge miss for us, he really is, but there's no disputing we could've done with a Hamsik, Sneijder etc.Even when Clev is fit, we still need something else because Anderson, despite a promising start, has gone backwards again.

Our creativity in the centre of the park is woeful.

Probably something to do with Fletch playing along side of him, you can see Ando trying to play quick passes with him but Fletch doesn't get it and one he tried looped up in the air and slowed us down again.

Agree with this. Welbeck would change it and provide an outlet to join in the build up play. It's certainly something for Hernandez to work on. We have been predictable, the only time we've quickened it up is to play the predictable 1-2 around the edge of the box.

Yep. agreed about anderson. Dumb @#%&! but plays a whole different game with movement around him.

Everyone is just stood in their 442 formation like @#%&!s.

So what was Ando's excuse last year when Fletch was out injured for most of the season?

Back to last season's level, then - no wonder when we've now got the same people in the team

Has any player been as shite as Evra now is and effectively "undroppable"?? :shakehead:

I don't like the way we've reverted back to making loads of changes every game. Having close to a settled side really benefited us for the first handful of games, but after Bolton Fergie made a load of changes for Benfica and it's been back to last season's constant shuffling ever since.

Movement and players who are willing to play in tight spaces, close to each other. How often did we see Cleverley and Anderson exchanging 5 yard passes quickly . Fletcher plays to his limitations which include a poorish first touch. That means he only really shows for the ball when he knows he has enough space and time, which kills the game Anderson wants to play.

They bring out the worst in each others games.

Hernandez is either offside or tripping over the ball so far. Injuries have held him back this season and he is lacking sharpness.
