Fergie has countless times thrown injured players straight back in for big games and sometimes it's worked and sometimes not. But Park or no Park we were losing that game and he was no worse than the rest of them so I don't see why he is always singled out based on that performance.
As you say he was just back from an injury, surely less reason to single out his performance seeing as there were equally bad non-injured players out there?

He's 'singled out' because he's the only one who was picked for such a big game after a long injury lay-off. But as far as I can see even people who never liked Park are simply saying it was obvious he shouldn't have been picked - not that the defeat was his fault or that he was any worse than anyone else. Other players got plenty of stick that night, Jones especially. And rightly so, they were £#%&!ing awful too.
But Park is the only one who had just been out for ages, clearly wasn't fresh and clearly wasn't ready for a title deciding game. So when people point out it was a bad decision to include him they're not trying to be 'sages'. It was blindingly obvious he shouldn't have played and the selection, tactics and formation were all terrible. Park playing was just a part of that, but a part that's likely to be mentioned on a thread all about him. As you said, 'sometimes it's worked and sometimes not' - yes, that night it didn't.
