This cringeworthy shit buys him so much time and gets them all buzzing and is just a straightforwardly good idea. Nothing stopping José and United doing this. It makes a difference.

That’s what gets me about the shit spouted against mourinho in comparison to klopp, guardiola and pochettino. All three took over teams who already played good attacking football. None of them had to do much. More evolution than revolution. Mourinho took over a team who barely created chances, spent most matches passing it sideways and could go months not scoring at old Trafford. Transforming that into a good attacking football team is far more of a fundamental challenge.

Did something similar after they’d lost the champions league final iirc?...

We were top of the possession stats though?...

It’s bullshit. He knows full well it will find its way onto the internet. All Liverpool’s managers play the fanbase like that. It’s all very look at me. Give me fergie any day.

Evidently.

Would you rather finish top 4 in two of three seasons or second, seventh and sixth?

I couldn’t give a flying £#%&! about top 4 or 6. It’s still losing. Last year Liverpool were further from winning the league than they were the year before. You either challenge or you don’t. Any season you don’t is a failure regardless of third or 7th. The only people who give a shit are those who stand to benefit financially.

I genuinely don't see that much difference tbh (not if by "top 4" you mean 4th or even 3rd, anyway)

Whether you give a £#%&! or not has no bearing on the fact that they have improved under Klopp. Fourth is not an end in of itself, it’s the foundation for them to continue to improve the squad, football and results. As you say the acid test is the league, they will again improve on that come the end of the season.

Fourth hasn’t been a foundation for anything. Their investment on the back of finishing top four is only allowing them to stand still.

Again improve? Based on what evidence? They didn’t improve on it last season. They did worse. Liverpool need a Leicester type perfect storm to win the league, and them being in the top 4 more often under klopp is as much down to the failings of other big clubs as it is to Klopp making them any better.

If you want to argue that coming 4th two seasons in a row is regression then there's no point in continuing this and that's ignoring the fact they as good as strolled to a Champions League final last season.

They used to need a perfect storm type season to win it, now they are a bad season from city away from doing it.

I really wouldn’t waste your time, Jammy is utterly deluded about anything football related.

He’s also wrong, as usual - Liverpool have finished 4th two seasons in a row under Klopp. They finished 8th the season before. Clear progress.

State of him. And them.

They’re so £#%&!ing creepy with their managers and all the “he gets us” bullshit. And he's the perfect gusset smear to play up to it, their sense of being different.

Hope he laughs at a Hillsborough memorial causing them to create a flood of phlegm while seething and he drowns in it.

and yet they came far closer to winning the league under brenton than they have under the tutelage of that absolute teeth-itching cringemeister.

All depends how you measure progress, I suppose. On paper they've made solid signings, NQAT, but no one has any idea how that will translate on the pitch. It's very easy to be down about us atm because of the football we've been playing, but bottom line is, playing 'shit' football we still were ahead of the scouse last season, and have won more in the last 3 seasons than they have in the last 12.
