I was a huge Forlan fan. Such a shame he left. Be great to have him back.

He was everything United in his first 3 seasons. The greatest goalscorer I have ever seen.

I really £#%&!ing liked Forlan, it was a shame it didn't work out for him as well as everyone hoped. FWIW, I reckon Forlan would do alright for himself in the current side

"Louis Saha is going to Manchester United over my dead body" - Chris Coleman

Still makes me chuckle thinking of that

I think United were too big for Diego. The pressure was too much for him, imo of course.

Another Diego fan here, felt sorry for him half the time because his attitude was brilliant it's just sometimes in football things dont work out and he was one of them.

Always keep eye on Athletico because of him, can't believe he's 28 tho

I wasnt a Forlan fan at all, he was out of his depth half the time I always felt.

when I heard the news we were getting rid, I was delighted.

Instead he was our, er, Saha.

I remember all the shenanigans at beating Middlesborough to signing him ; I had a chap installing a burglar alarm at my house and SSN on in the background. To this day, the only living, breathing Boro fan I've ever met.

Forlan would probably have settled in quicker at Boro and been some sort of success there.

That video compilation on youtube whilst he was at Independiente caused a lot of us to drool in anticipation ..

Forlan joined us in 2002, youtube wasn't launched until 2005.
