Default Brendan Rodgers

I think Brendan deserves his own thread.

“One of the things that I think I have specialised in is the management of top young players. He is certainly up in that bracket. I look at players like Scott Sinclair and boys of that ilk. He is certainly up there. Maybe more advanced at that age.

So is he saying that young players are idiots and with the older players they learn through experience?

He'll say anything that will either get him on a flag or montage.

I've got a good mate (scouser) who is an Everton fan; he's adament that the over-emotional mentallness is an LFC thing and not shared by the blue half.

I think it's safe to say that anyone who takes over their catches whatever-it-is. It's not Rodgers's fault.

Except for Woy, of course. Which is the real reason (not results) why he was binned.

I hope it goes horribly wrong but honestly it's the first time for years that the scouse have even attempted to play decent football. I'd love someone like him as coach(not manager) at United instead of the clowns we currently have.

someone mentioned it before but he loves talking about himself. This on Downing as left back

Quote:
"I think he is good enough for that. Absolutely," he said. "Time will tell [whether he can do it consistently]. I don't like to just give up on players. I always look at different ways you can play them. Stewart has a future as an attacking player but I have had a good chat with him on the role and he is excited about it.
the way he talks you would think he has some track record behind him. rather than the moron he actually is.

Last year everyone on here was praising rodgers. now that he is liverpool manager, we hate him bit pathetic really.

As armchair says, would love to have him or someone of his ilk as coach compared to micky shorts.

And as for his soundbytes, just see what our Rene has to say

We're mostly laughing at his ridiculous thinly veiled self-praise. He won't be hard to hate if he carries on like this though.

Nobody hated Hodgson just because he was Liverpool manager.

he's quite a spectacular £#%&!er, isn't he?

I think you just have to have at least a little bit of a threat at it, Rodgers said. Because we do a lot of play-action, movement game, where we're breaking and rolling out or just play action and throwing timing routes and the defense has to respect it enough to suck up a little...

obviously rawk has a thread just like this. strangely, the same quotes appear to elicit very different responses

This.

He might not be half as daft as we would like him to be.
