Would have won the derby for City at OT several years ago with the last kick of the game, if not for a brilliant save by VDS.

Sheringham > Cole

Big fan of Cole but if that's really all there was to it then that's pathetic.

So he'd have been even more pissed off if Teddy had said 'good luck Andy'.

I feel like I've heard/read Cole tell this story about ten times in the last year or so. It's not anywhere near as interesting as he thinks it is.

anyway, i thought he said it was down to conceding a goal to bolton at OT when cole thought teddy should've done more?

pathetic to still hold a grudge after 15 years, let alone keep harping on about it in a national newspaper.
I thought it was the Bolton game as well. The one on the 40th anniversary of Munich. Am nearly sure Cole refers to that in his book as the start of the feud.

I love Andy Cole - and god knows how we could do with a player like him now - but he needs to let this one go...

Closer to my home in Manchester is the story about Manchester United fans protesting against the Glazer family who own the club. I’ve been impressed with all the fans wearing green and gold scarves to protest – I might even buy one myself.
Wrong forum I know.
