Tumescent Throb

Default St Etienne (FRA) v The United (ENG) 5pm ko

bread sticks ahoy. strong team by the looks of it. 3 none up so what could possibly go wrong? get a few rested after we score. hostile crowd so just stay cool and get it out the way. save pure for the big games to come

Assumed it would be Thursday night, shows how closely I have been following this competition.

Rest Zlat, probably another couple.

bit of a risk for throb to cut the grass from under pure's feet.

now has 0-0 written all over it.

Why's it kicking off at 5/6pm?

Presumably so it doesn't clash with the CL games, but why it's on the same day as CL games is a mystery to me.

They can't play it tomorrow as Lyon (nearby) are playing then, and they don't want it to clash with the Champs League on the telly later on tonight ()

Are Lyon playing at home on Thursday and they don't want both on the same night?

Why can other CL games clash with each other but not Europa?

Would be fuming if the game was interesting.

I suppose you maximise Europa TV audience if you can.

In some ways it's a bit of a shame the tie isn't more alive. Should be a good atmosphere; would usually be great.

:
I don't think CL games between two teams within close proximity can clash with each other either

Oh no doubt. But I meant tonight that wouldn't be an issue.

Still, they know that we'd bloody dominate the viewing if they put us on later

5-0 I think it was - apparently one of the few times Matt genuinely lost his rag with the team afterwards

Just score a goal. That's all they have to do. Just score and kill the entire tie.

At what point would you relax? Away goal in first 5?

Hopefully we do not make hard work of today, just like we did away to Hull in the 2nd leg of the league cup semi....
