I really don't need to see blind trying volleys on the edge of the opposition box.

van gaal needs to wake the £#%&! up.
They have to be prepared for us losing possession. Mistakes all over the place in that goal. Yes Mata gives it away, but Rojo gave him a pass that put him under pressure and then went on the overlap instead of covering, which is stupid. Smalling didn't read it quickly enough and Blackett inexplicably left Varny to close down a winger fifty yards from goal. We can definitely talk about communication, but these are terrible individual errors. And in the case of Smalling and maybe Blackett & Rojo, it's because they're not smart defenders.

That's why we - and Arsenal - need a brain in defence. Someone like Vidic can help organise the madness back there.

Arsenal.

Very pretty and nice going forward but got bullied out of it by a lesser team. We had one decision go against us and we let it get on top of us to the point we threw the game away. Almost quintessential modern day Arsenal that is.

£#%&!ing sickens me to say it as well.
Yes and no.

It was the magnitude of the awfulness of the decision that was crucial - even our treble winning team would have been a bit rocked back by that.

Has it been mentioned AT ALL in the media today??

United's defensive record last season was the same as the year before when we won it by a mile iirc.

The fact is that for the fourth goal, if you put someone like Vidic or Rio in Smalling's shoes, they'd have given Blackett the shout to stay with his man and not to close the winger down. And the goal may well not happen. That's the difference.

We'll ship a £#%&!load this season

I still can't believe they let Evra, Ferdinand and Vidic leave at the same time full stop, never mind without suitable replacements

Just a small point on our defenders. Obviously they don't look the best defensively at the moment so it's probably a bit much too start expecting them to do more at the other end of the pitch, but I wish we a had a couple of defenders that look threatening at the other end. We must be one of the easiest teams to defend against on corners/free kicks.

Outrageous. Should be on house arrest after defeats, wallowing in it.
