"shame" if rooney plays.
it would be exactly that as far as I'm concerned - RvP is back

it'll surely be 4-3-3

di maria is a stick on to start if fit

and januzaj should keep his place (although the right-footed Valencia's power could replace him)

not sure about the 1st part of your post. I'm pointing out that his previous record against City is irrelevant, and that even if he's scored goals against them historically that's all it is - and anyway, for the last 3 seasons his impact has been minimal against them except for one game (which we nearly blew till RvP stepped in very late). you appear to be in agreement.

I think hell go with:

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
Fellaini Blind
Di Maria Herrera Rooney
Van Persie

Falcao will get a good spell.

Mata and Januzaj wont be trusted.

Smalling will retain his place.

Would be more than happy with than line up, assuming Herrera's ok. Another physical mf battle, this one.

Fellaini will start and play a similar role, man marking Haha Toure. I also think both Blind and Herrera will start to give us numbers through the middle.

Same back 5 as the weekend imo, I rate Jones but get some consistency.

Rooney will be straight back in, and he won't drop RVP so Falcao on the bench even though he needs game time

So er....

DDG
Rafa
Smalling
Rojo
Shaw
Blind
Herrera
Fellaini
ADM
Rooney
RVP

Yeah just read that, I imagine if that's the case Mata for Rooney. So, more or less the same team as Sunday 'cept Herrera for Januzaj.

I love Herrrera

Just realised that I'm pretty disgusted with our 60 million pound bobble head's performance against Chelsea.

Was he carrying a knock?

Did he not like starting on the right?

Whatever the weather he'd better turn up against city. In fact not just turn up, play really well.
