A likely story.

We don't need a gazillionaire owner anyway. We just don't need to be wasting the vast pots of money we do make.

Maybe we've got a deposit on Rooney off City?

bit odd that today the pik debt suddenly isn't nearly as important as it was portrayed up until, say, yesterday

if they've borrowed the cash btw, can't wait to find out which money-laundering outfit is the latest to get their grubby snout into the united pie. not that the glazers are effectively a front though, as that surely couldn't be.

You'll have a wait by the looks of things. Dependent on what company they've used to borrow the money it could never come out exactly what they've done. If it's the same company that initially took out the PIK loans then it'll probably be 2012 before they file the relevant accounts.

how so? yesterday, the pik notes were a time-bomb waiting to go off and all the time accruing ridiculous levels of interest. today they.... um.... aren't.

do you think about what you are writing at all?

Who is running with that?

Mind you if the interest has stopped accruing at 16.25% pa then I can see why the PIK's aren't as important today as they were yesterday.

Nope. You carry on with your G&G and marches against the Glazer's in Abu Dhabi, the fight never ends.

Unless it ends, obviously.

Everything is fine, it was always going to get paid.

To some it getting paid was the actual worry.

leaving aside the fact that the pik notes don't all mature on the same date.... I assume you haven't made any pension arrangements. after all, it won't matter for 50 years.

To others, it getting paid at the same time as the bond debt needed repaying was the bigger worry...
