You refer to a 'few' fans.. It's more than that!
What an absolute pile of total £#%&!ing shite. Read the club's statement, read the posts above explaining it to you, and then £#%&! off.

Are ESPN on the FC right-on list or summat??

I would love FC to progress and will be at Spotland but things like this just go to show how the holier-than-though attitude of a lot of people at the time was just hot air and 'do as I say not as I do!'

(Again I say I want FC to progress, my argument isn't with FC but with the supercilious, judgemental and ultimately hypocritical rantings of prominent FC fans)
I've just looked back through the thread to see why my post struck such a chord and I found this.

It seems you have a problem with certain individuals and through transference, are blaming the club and the general support for your chagrin. I suggest you take it up with those concerned, with whom you have obvious concerns.

My mind is clear and quite lucid, thank you.

I follow Manchester United, while witholding financial support from the club and its sponsors, including Sky Sports.
Obviously lucid

Clear as mud more like!

Are ESPN not a sponsor of MUFC all of a sudden??

I asked the question in my first post and it was dismissed because I used the term 'right-on'

I'm sure in time, you will be happy for FC to play at 8pm on a Friday night in Torquay at Sky's behest as 'it's a measure of hiw far we gave come' or some such cop-out!

MUFC earn money from ESPN's deal so your anti-sky stance has been decimated in one £70k sweetner hasn't it!

What does the club statement have to do with my own observation of people shouting obscenities at SAF

The club constitution this/that/the other I have no problem with!

SAF is a 'stupid old @#%&!' 'sell out' I do!

Sorry if it jarrs with your romantic view of FC fans but tough!

I'll '£#%&!-off' after you do, can't say fairer than that!

If I was giving money to ESPN, you might have a point. I don't watch United games on ESPN and I won't be watching FC United's game on ESPN either.

If the question is ever raised about a game in Torquay on a Friday night at 8pm, I hope the Board we elected would consider the pros and cons and decide it would be too much to expect from the fans and reject the request.

If they accepted the request, I'd make my own judgment of whether attending was in my best interests and I'd weigh the case made for the club accepting, at the next Board elections.

As I referred to in my earlier post, we don't work for....

And Fergie said...

In the beginning there was a lot of 'them or us' on both sides! You are kidding yourself if you think there wasn't an element at FC who looked down on OT goers! (and vice-versa obviously etc) some people did both,
some people took a year out or whatever

WE don't work for sky sports anymore is whichever way you look at it a divisive comment/sentiment hence me asking what has changed subsequently..
Have you ever £#%&!ed a bucket with a big hole in it?

I wish they were.

He would have been cut up from head to toe before he ever took us over and I could still have a season ticket.

First of all, why are you putting an exclamation mark on the end of every sentence? It makes you look like you're either ten years old or mentally ill.

I'll explain it very simply: you posted a question about the match being on TV. It's a fair question, as I said. You got a couple of reasonable responses to it. The club statement gives you the very answer you want. So I suggest you read it.

Is that easy enough for you to understand?

2700 out of 3200 sold yesterday.

The other 500 on sale at the agm today and if any left at the clubs offices through the week.

Even though it's officially pay on the gate, I can't see any being left on the day of the game.
