I could play with Giresse and Tigana pulling strings alongside me.

Just glad he stayed long enough to get a league winner's medal. For a long time, it looked like it would never happen

Thanks for the memories there. Was at a few of those games, used to go to all the London aways from about 82 onwards as well as some of those others around the country from when I was about 15 (85).

Robbo was my favourite, always used to be him in the playground. He was immense.

souness was a beast too - borderline certifiable on the pitch, but technically superb with it.

£#%&!ing loved robbo. an awe-inspiring player.
Pretty much sums it up for me this.

Best player i have ever seen in a Utd shirt.

was one of my favourite non united players as a kid, superb free kick taker amongst other things,

My old man always goes on about Robbo. He was his hero. Always telling me he was just absolute class. We could do with a Robbo now.

big norman ahead and paul mcgrath behind, frightening as £#%&!

the side we had in the 80s could have been one of the great ones imo. if only fergie had been there to sort out the drinking culture and all the rest of it.

robson doesn't deserve to be compared to platini. or keane for that matter.

he deserves to be compared to duncan edwards and that's about it. I loved keane, but the idea that he is in robson's class is a bit ridiculous.
