Jose Mourinho - success belongs to him, the failures are everyone else's fault.

If we're being honest, whether you're a Jose fan or not, this is classic him.

The going gets tough and the rants, finger pointing and deflection begins

No stoic defiance. Just a Billy Redface-style NRAT length of narcissism that entirely misses the issue people have with him.

I remember Chelsea losing at home to Southampton during his meltdown season. It was still early on but the danger signs were there.

He spoke in the sky post match interview for 8 minutes, unbroken.

He won't quit. He won't he sacked. He's hung the players out to dry. He'll start next season and the cliched third season Jose meltdown is right on cue.

This will not have helped the atmosphere in the stadium, if Utd are struggling it will not be pretty.
If he criticised himself that shows weaknesses but he is basically saying he knows we are shit which is acknowledgment which is a good sign as such.
The bit about the Sevilla players getting in our team was spot on, and it’s a message to our overprotected players who haven’t been performing at all.
Pogba is meant to be a top midfielder came on at 0-0 and was the worst player on the pitch.

and he is right about lukaku and Matic, Two players who try every game, never hide, had no injuries etc.

it’s time we realized it’s been quite a while since we were a top team.
all those facts about our finishing league positions and record is Europe is spot on, we aren’t very good and haven’t been for a while.
even saf last two seasons at the club, people wanted him to retire because of the teams he was picking and the way we were playing in large parts. some don’t remember ....

Mourinho though, isn’t helping himself with his team selection and tactics but laying out where we actually are as a club is the census we needed.
Everything he's said is utterly irrelevant. He can't coach a successful team that dominates with style, and flair, so he has a tantrum.

Didn’t Lukaku get 4 goals in 3 months whilst being utterly terrible week in, week out, and get knocked out cold and miss a couple of games? Matic was dire from the beginning of October until the Chelsea game. As said before, he mentioned them because he signed them. No other reason.

As usual marlo spot on, zero agenda. Genuinely loves United. Clear minded.

Lots of nonsense posted in the past few days. There will be bumpmania this time next year.

Only just seen this. His self-indulgent point could have been made in a couple of sentences rather than an embarrassing ten minute rant. Shades of Chelsea second spell.

Opp fans must be loving it. The lad is completely losing his head.

They said he'd "boil piss". They never counted on it being his own.

5 points clear of them, won more trophies than them last season.

They must be loving it.

The funniest thing about all the anti mou folk wanting him gone is the fact that his position is extremely secure. Dream on ladz.

No way his position is secure when his head clearly isn’t. He’s looking Chelsea second term atm.

He was supposed to be getting in Pep’s head yet he’s spending the days after getting knocked out of Europe looking up City’s recent history on Wikipedia to script a rant for his press conference pre Brighton in the Cup.

Head is all over the place. Will do well to see Christmas.

He is defending his club and even taking the flack for some of the shit@#%&!s who let us down midweek(and have been letting us down for many many years now).

Read this from ozil's book

You love to laud pep but 12 months ago he was the one who ended up finishing way behind 1st place, zero trophies and was having meltdowns on the regular. Actual meltdowns btw, not just defending his players like Mou is doing.

Conte won the title with 93 pts, then mou drove him so mad he wont even finish in a cl place etc.....

Premier league isnt set up to dominate due to horrendous decisions regularly by the big teams. Thats why leicester won, thats why chelsea collapsed this season and in mous season.

Remains to be seen if city end up shooting themselves in the foot. IMO they are not as good as their points total suggests and next season will be totally different.

Yeah so we were abject shit against Sevilla just to humiliate Guardiola. Well that's him shown.

saffers I admire and applaud your sentiments, I wish I had the same faith myself but I'm afraid that I don't.

For me that press conference was all about deflecting from his own mistakes, mistakes that he refuses to admit to because of his massive ego.

I'm not denying that Sevilla are a good side but we didn't even bother to attack over there. He decided to look at parking the bus in Spain before the match even started. That made it more difficult at home.

It's negativity all the time with Jose. That's why we're out of Europe. We should have gone to Spain looking for the win or the very least an away goal. Surely you've got to admit that?

Had a couple this season too, not least at Wigan.

The aim next season has to be to start well and get a couple of Pep meltdowns in by end September. The FA Cup is important anyway but getting in the Charity Shield and giving him one straight away might be part of the thinking.

No matter who we buy in the summer City will still have a phenomenal squad, so if we're going to overtake them focusing on Guardipla has to be the tactic. That Ozil extract suggests he's aware of that.

Guardiola is quite capable of melting down without any outside help. He never had any at Bayern either.

You're doing Mourinho far too much credit. As usual.

I'd like to tell myself that what Ozil describes there is what's happening, but anyone who. has seen the embargoed section of the PC, or even just read the Telegraph article I linked to, will see that he went on to attack the players* too yesterday. Hardly protecting them.

*Except Matic and Lukaku.
