Default Change the rules of football

Immediate rule changes...

Var room 101'd
Keep goal line and introduce touchline tech
4 points for winning more than 5 goals
Back to three subs out of five
Can't wear third kit unless kit clash
Nil nils with less than 5 shots on target half point each
No new threads whilst in coop queues

Get rid of throw ins

Not sure if this is against the rules at the moment, so possibly unnecessary, but I’d make it legal to be able to lift your teammate from set pieces like they do in rugby lineouts

Just look at this picture, and imagine Ronnie being lifted up by The Scottish Player and Varane, ready to power a downward header into the top corner. The scenes

Any player who goes down with his hands covering his face and doesn't have a broken nose/teeth to be given a ten-match ban.

Fully behind these.

Five subs is absolute bullshit. Takes away so much pressure on the managers to make sure they make the right changes at the right times if they now they've basically got a couple of free spins.

Any players hugging/displaying affection with opposing team to go before disciplinary panel of Middle East clerics

Hitting the first man from a corner = automatic penalty for opposing team

Any player caught blatantly feigning a head injury to be immediately issued a red card.

That's what I'd be using VAR for. Expose these shithouses.

Cursory google came up with this…

“The player doing the lifting, or the player doing the climbing is cautioned for unsporting behaviour, and the opponents are awarded an indirect free kick from where the lift/climb occurred.

Although this is not explicitly mentioned in the Laws of the Game, it is known to be unsporting behaviour through tradition.

Each year the United States Soccer Federation releases an Advice To Referees document. This documents fills in the gaps of "tradition" vs what is actually codified in the FIFA Laws of the Game. In the 2014 edition, on pages 50-51:

Referees are urged to review the list of examples of unsporting behavior to be found in the Interpretation of the Laws of the Game and Guidelines for Referees as well as in U.S. Soccer training materials for newer referees. Other examples include:

...
Uses an artificial aid to unfairly assist play – for example, leaning on the shoulders of a teammate to increase height, using an article of clothing to avoid direct contact with the ball, removing the corner flag on a corner kick, hanging on the crossbar.

no. it's just pointless, given the accuracy of our dead ball delivery.

ronaldo can jump higher than mctog can lift him, anyway.

if a trainer has to come on and treat your "injury", you have to leave the pitch for 5 minutes.

Not so much a law, but I HATE how referees will always ‘see the attack out’ before blowing for full time.

Unless there’s an injury, blow the whistle bang on the allotted time.

nothing wrong with var, in principle. it's refs.
