I think he just does as he's told to the limits of his ability and managers look upon this compliance favourably

He did well last night, in what the team was asked to do. Had we tried to play he'd have been horribly exposed.

All of this reflects really badly on Schneiderlin..

Aye.

I just long for a day where we play 3 midfielders all of which are footballers.

Don't see why we bothered giving Carrick a new contract.

No. Weird isn't it. Doesn't even bring him on to calm things down with 20 to go

He must have less than 90 minutes in the PL this season. A shame. Unless Mourinho is just trying to move on because he knows it is Carrick's last season Absolutely screaming out for a top quality replacement for him and some useful options instead of Schweini and Schneiderlin, seeing as though both appear to be surplus..

Didn't he sign a new contract before José came in?

Yep. No idea why he isn't playing. Still quality when used the right way.

To work with Herrera, whose improvement this year has been remarkable.

Seems Mourinho doesn't rate him. It's a struggle to get on the bench let alone the team. Which is why I don't get why the club didn't cut their losses when he still had a relatively high stock. And Schweinsteiger could have taken his squad place.

Fellaini > Schneiderlin
Schweinsteiger >>> Fellaini > Schneiderlin

Schneiders missed last night because he was injured, though (like Martial)

Sure, I'm not denying he is out of favour more generally. Just pointing that out in case anybody missed it

Still plays like a self indulgent teenager. He would be getting ripped to bits if he started this poorly for Barca or Madrid. Too many excuses made for him, needs to start doing the basics right and put some effort in defensively.

He's been £#%&!ing garbage

Didn't see much of him for Juve but if THAT is the standard of serie A I think I could get a game.

He is infuriatingly casual. Juve could cover that to a degree because they had world class midfielders alongside him to do the serious work. This team desperately needs some leadership, and it is not really part of his game at this stage.
