Childrens Book: Who cares and how would I remember by Fuzzy Dunlop
Adult Book: Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien

That book was more enjoyable/entertaining than most films I've watched.

Nothing important, just human nature and emotion. Nonfiction books on these topics tend to be unreadable bores. You can learn all you need to know (and you do need to know it) about the power of guilt, fear, love, and money by reading any of Crime and Punishment, The Great Gatsby, or The Magic Mountain.

Do you really think it's so different to read a story than to watch one?

I can confirm people are really as stupid as ginners. Lived with a few English lads in America and they tried abusing me for reading and playing with lego as a kid (amongst other things ) instead of watching wrestling like they did One comment was 'did you not have a childhood?' Yeh, because I didn't get worked up over something that is fake, and crap.

They said that watching a film is always better.
I always say a book is like the script and you're the films director. You can make that script into anything you want if you have a good imagination.

My Harry Potter movies in my head > the actual Harry Potter movies

This is a guy who follows celeb news daily, harrasses celebs via twitter and treats x-factor (like americas got talent) like it's a lifestyle.

Love the guy (not really love) but he has no taste, he doesn't have bad taste, has NO taste. he's a marketing man's wet dream. Product of modern culture.

didn't know the thread was going to veer off into child abuse.

Just one thread where we can keep it kosher.

Just one
