I don’t know what happened to Serie a defenses. I get they don’t have the purchasing power that they used to. But Serie a have always had great defensive organization and it just evaporated.

Also italy just don't produce the calibre of footballer they used to.

I can see why they want a super league, their domestic product is dying on it's arse. The pitch looks like something from mid 90s, the stands are half empty as well.

I've no sympathy for any of them. They were happy as larry to break the world transfer record every other year in the 80s and 90s and everyone else just had to get on with it.

Oh there’s no doubt La Liga and Serie A have made their own bed.

Agreed and while I’m not sympathetic as they refused to follow the equitable route of the Premier League in the early 00’s it’s not sustainable or desirable to have shit like Bournemouth being able to get a better class of player than 95% of teams on the continent
