I think part of the cause for our problems is the wages we pay. We seem to give players huge pay increases over the next best offer. We’ll probably give this guy twice what he could get elsewhere.

Levy wants £70m, state of this fool.

Walk away. Player wants out, contract clause for next year allows him to leave for £25m. Not like Levy to throw £30m out of the window purely by benching a player for another whole year.

How dare we sign a Sevilla player given many morons on here mocked Mou for saying a lot of their players would play for us.

Lenglet is superb btw. Would be cool.

£70 mill for Alderweireld? 30 years old, career high of flattering to deceive at Spurs. Is he really all that?

Thumbs up

A true Rolls Royce of a player.

Fulfils United's Spurs and Belgique quotas.

So that leaves us with about 40mil to spend max. We're going to be starting with young at left back again

Or united allow levy and Tottenham to save face by allowing such a deal be publicised. The media are never right about our transfer details.

It's honestly as easy as this - Spurs want £70m, so we either pay it or we go elsewhere.

If Mourinho & Woodward are in agreement that we want the player, then we get him.

If we don't pay it, we don't get him. Spurs need the cash for their stadium & likely to fund other player purchases. Levy won't accept a penny less than their own valuation.

We'll obviously sell someone else, lets say Lindlof to Everton for £35m () then really we are getting him at a net £35m, which is probably where the boardroom maths comes in. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone else get £#%&!ed off & someone promoted into 4th CB sport as well, we're well stocked with numbers in that position, albeit not the quality. Smalling & Jones are surely on thin ice, Bailly I think survives despite his weird in & out squad status. Rojo is signed up & flexible. Lindlof appears to be a bit nothing but if someone wants to cough up for him so be it. Tuanzebe / TFM could come back into the fold as squad options & someone like McTominey has been slated to drop back?

Point is, Alderweireld is a quality player, far better than we have & low risk in regards to settling in, experienced in the league etc.

Bailly
Alderweireld
Jones
Rojo
Tuanzebe / TFM
