He'll be better if he gets more goals and assists according to Hargreaves on commentary.

Always felt that about lingy

whats undisputable now is that fellaini and rooney cannot keep starting for us unless they up their game.

First half was the best I've seen him play

We stopped playing in the 2nd half and naturally he's dissapeared from the game

An easy scapegoat after a kick in the balls like today, but he didn't do much wrong.

Works his arse off for the team. Created a couple of good goalscoring chances for Pogba and #IamZlatan and could've scored himself.

Great player to have in the squad

Don't know how anyone can have a pop at him today.

Far more bigger personalities who £#%&!ed up. No1 being our £90m midfielder.

Pogba bar the odd spell has been doing a fine impression of a luxury player this season. A wonderful talent no doubt but the transfer fee does not give him the right to only play going forward.

We can blame Mourinho for playing him out of position but I hope it is an attempt to develop his game. If not we are going to end up having to buy actual midfielders to do the midfield job while Pogba plays the glory role.

It's amazing how people pick on Lingard and not Mata, the £37m creative hub that created not one single opportunity for anyone today, or Pogba who was utterly anonymous for 25 minutes second half, or even Zlat who didn't take a piss easy chance to completely change the game after about 3 minutes. No, it was Jesseh that was shit could even have a pop at Rooney who managed to come on and disappear, turning up only to mis-control the ball and dominate and waste set pieces

Because he's not shit, he's ordinary. When Rashford and Martial are both fit, Lingard should be nowhere near this team except in the league cup.

united created more really good chances today than they have in most games for a while. the front four all played their part in most of those moves. pogba's finishing needs some work.

Yeah you don't like him. Fine. Bad news for you, he'll still be getting in the team because he's a good player, does his job and is a threat.

Then the team will be being mismanaged, because our future clearly lays with players like Rashford, Martial and Mkhitaryan, not beige nobodies like Lingard. He will have good games and do some good things, but he is the solution to nothing.

lingard is very useful when we're playing quick interchange and threatening round the back. his movement and selfless running is a huge plus to this side. he's also a brilliant finisher, so you have to question whether it's a belief thing or a temperament issue that has so far stopped him proving this at the top level more often.
