Thumbs up Berbatov comments re. United.

I watched the anhiliation of Roma on tv, here in bulgaria, where I am fortunate enough to based for the time being (trust me, the combination of birds, booze and more birds in fine weather witout much clothes is a real winner of a lifestyle). Anyway prior to the match they interviewed Berbatov in bulgarian, which I can now understand. When asked who he wanted to win, he replied (something very close to):

"Manchester, definately. I love everything about the club, the stadium, the fans they way they play their football. For me, Manchester United is the best club in Europe".

Not to be quoted word for word, but as I said, it was very close and displayed all the sentiments of a player who would love to come and join us. Reckon the lad deserves a chance. Fergie sign him up.

Given the choice of Spurs or United, how would any non aligned professional football player in this day and age choose Spurs over United ?

I am not the hugest Berbatov fan in the world, either, although this season of seen real glimpses of the lads potential. He definately said words to that effect, if not exactly, I put my life on it.

Think they stalled on signing him around the time Ruuds stay was unclear, and he ended up getting £#%&!ed off and chose Spurs.

Whether we want him or he's good enough for us, I don't know. I will say that he is an absolute joy to watch play.

i think he would make an excellent fulcrum for our pace and movement

great touch, vision and sublime passing to get people in

probably should put away a few more chances but he looks like the kind of player that would rise to the OT stage
