Somebody should be apologising for not signing him 10 years ago.

I don't think he needs to apologise tbh.

I was all for it to be fair. You can't knock a world class striker on a free when we don't have a single out and out striker in the squad.

No, wasn't that impressed by the prospect of his signing. For fairly obvious and logical reasons.

Always happy to be wrong about these things, though.

Yep. Whoever it was at the club who picked Telles and Big Cav deserves some credit.

Sad to see people searching for their old pro-Cavani posts when I was the only Cavani fan on here and ploughed a lone furrow for almost two decades about him. I practically discovered him.

Thought Telles was shit today. If it was Shaw he would be slaughtered.

Feel clean now. Yin and yang

you could have rated him as a great signing 5+ years ago and still signed up to the "£#%&! off cavani" thread imo

I think we were subconsciously age profile damaged by the cluster fork that was Falcao. And saw Rooney in terminal decline from a relatively young age. Cav (were big mates now) obviously takes his fitness unbelievably serious. A Peter pan 33 and were gonna fly. Disclaimer : still on a post goon high

Scored by accident?
Rightly so. Shaw's been here 6 years.
