keane was our best player and captain from the treble side

there on merit for me

he ran the premiership for our most successful period in my eyes so deserves his place

it depends on what the list is meant to be. most talented? edwards, best, robson, scholes (not in any particular order). most influential? charlton, keane, cantona. most deserving of a place as 'a united legend', summing up the club and its spirit? best, cantona, buchan.

it depends what you want, like i said. but i wouldn't say charlton comes top in any of those categories.

fair enough. more talent, less influential i'd say. but each to his own.

i think we're only starting now to see how special that generation of players was. scholes and giggs are going to be impossible to replace - especially scholes. he has been central to so much of our play for so long. of all the players i've seen live for united (first match was in '74, though i can't remember it), two stand out: scholes and robson. giggs, cantona and keane were/are all special players, but scholes and robson stand alone for me.

If you were Ronaldo, or any United player for that matter, you probably wouldn't give a shite about where you came in a list in some @#%&!ing book.

Any list like that is going to be controversial. But I'm looking at the top ten and it's pretty spot on to me, although a lot of the older players I've not seen much of so it's imposible for me to judge where they should be. Probably is a bit early for Rooney to be at 11, but then again, if it was a list of the most talented players we've had at United he should be top 5. Greatest is open to interpretation, so we don't really know how they were judging it.

How predictable was it that out of 50 players, they'd list Cole and Yorke one after the other?

Answer: very predictable
